An open-air stamp market has existed in Paris since the 1860s, and it eventually settled on the Avenue Gabriel near the Marigny Square, where it remains today. Take a trip in time through images from postcards and stamps to enjoy this philatelic treasure and enjoy a little cinema along the way.

Tom Broadhead is professor emeritus of geology and chair of the McClung Museum of Natural History and Culture at The University of Tennessee. A lifelong collector, Tom serves the ATA as second vice president and is the co-creator of ATA’s “My One-Page Exhibit” program. He is a board member of the France & Colonies Philatelic Society and the Southeastern Federation of Stamp Clubs, and is an active member of his home club, the Knoxville Philatelic Society. Tom received the Rowland Hill Award from SEFSC and was recently named ATA’s Distinguished Topical Philatelist for 2023.
